Privacy policy

Ohmira collects nothing.
No collection at all
There is no account to create, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no tracking. There is no server of ours that the app talks to. The app has no backend at all, so there is nothing for anyone to leak, subpoena or sell.
What stays on your device
The circuits you build, their names, their layouts, your notes on them, and which exercises you have solved are stored on your device by the app. Nothing about them is sent to us, because there is nowhere for it to be sent.
Children
Ohmira is safe for children to use unsupervised: it has no chat, no user content from anyone else, no links out to the web, and no advertising. Because it collects no data at all, it collects no data about children either. The only purchase is a single one-time unlock, which requires whatever authentication your account is set up to demand.
This website
This site has no analytics, no advertising and no cookies. Its fonts are served from the same place as the pages. Your language and theme choices are kept in your browser and never leave it.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change that involved collecting anything would be announced in the app before it took effect, not only here.
On iPhone and iPad
iCloud
If you are signed in to iCloud, your circuits synchronise between your own devices through your private iCloud database. That database belongs to your Apple Account and is governed by Apple’s privacy policy; we cannot read it, and neither can anyone else.
Turning iCloud off for Ohmira in your device settings stops the synchronisation and leaves everything on the device.
Purchases
If you buy Ohmira Complete, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your name, your payment details, or your Apple Account. The app asks Apple whether the purchase exists and unlocks accordingly; it stores no record of who you are.
On Android
Your circuits stay on your device
There is no synchronisation on Android and no cloud of ours. Every circuit you draw is stored on the device you drew it on, and nothing is uploaded.
If you want a circuit on another device, you export it to a file and import it there. You choose the file, through your device’s own file picker, and Ohmira holds no storage permission: it can read and write the one file you point it at, and nothing else.
Backup
Android’s own backup service may copy Ohmira’s data as part of the device backup you have already chosen to use. When it does, it copies your circuits, your settings and which exercises you have solved.
This is a service of your device and your Google account, not of ours. It happens without Ohmira running, Ohmira is never told that it happened, and we never see the data. You can turn it off in your device’s system settings, under Backup.
The purchase
Ohmira Complete is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details, your name or your email address; we receive only anonymous, aggregated sales figures from Google, the same as any developer.
Whether you have bought it is answered by Google Play itself, on your device. Ohmira remembers the last answer so that the app does not appear locked while Play is being asked, and that answer never leaves the device.
Permissions
Ohmira requests two permissions, and neither reaches the network: billing, which is how Google Play allows an app to sell something, and one that Android’s own user-interface library declares for its internal messages.
Ohmira does not request internet access. The build itself refuses to compile if any part of the app asks for it.
